I've learnt more in one hour than all the years i have been dancing
Wow Adagio smashed the first weekend back dancing at the Studio today.
Helpers were directing students to their classes, car park attendants keeping the traffic moving and lots of budding dancers trying out new classes. There was plenty of space and the meticulous organisation meant all the additional Covid measures were maintained.
Sofia was excited to be back and even more so as she joined her first class with Southeast Ballet Scholars.

Thank you Adagio School of Dance for the years of help, support and professional guidance you have given me. A special thank you to Mrs Patchingfor her many years of teaching me. I have so many wonderful memories from when I started Adagio at the tender age of 5. Dancing solo in the festivals, the All England Competitions, the Ballet Awards, being a member of the South East Ballet Scholars and the unforgettable shows that were so professional and entertaining. Your school has given me the best grounding, strength, determination and guidance to take my dancing to the next chapter. It has really been a privilege to be part of the Adagio Family and I will miss it very much. Special memories that i will treasure forever,

The ballet here at Adagio is the best I've EVER found!!! We have been to so many places and Mrs Patching's knowledge, commitment and high standards of teaching & corrections is something that my daughter has NEVER experienced with her ballet!
She's finally learning how to refine herself as a dancer. Sure it has taken a LOT of time and hard work, but I don't doubt that's what Adagio can give to their students. Mr Raynaud's classes have been so intense and my daughter has enjoyed it as well as learning a lot.

So very privileged to have Mrs Patching teach my child! After 6 years of searching high and low, (quite literally, all the miles ), for a fantastic ballet teacher, we have FINALLY found her & that’s Mrs P !!! Very happy to have found you Mrs P can’t begin to tell you how much you have changed my child to LOVE Ballet & we & she will ALWAYS be forever grateful!! She has NEVER been in love with Ballet. But she loves it so dearly now and that’s because of your teaching, knowledge and passion that you impart to our kids! Not to mention, your connection & that fabulous way you have with all of them! Our daughter Lauren was a student at Adagio for over 8 years from the age of 8 and learnt ballet, tap, modern, jazz and musical theatre. Mrs Patching's driven style of teaching really motivated Lauren to complete a 3 year course at Urdang Performing Arts Academy in London. She now leads a successful career in performing in various shows/programmes and also teaches a variety of classes for all ages.

Both my girls are taught by Miss P and her team x My girls are very different , But both are gracious well mannered respectful young ladies. Miss P and her team have given them both the discipline and tuition to achieve amazing results .

Thank you for all the Zoom lessons and outdoor lessons that you have run also, I'm sure it has been an exceedingly difficult time arranging them all and all the guidelines changing so often. But it has been thoroughly worthwhile and appreciated!
Many years ago I was trained by the amazing Mrs Patching. I would absolutely recommend for anyone who is looking for dancing training, to attend this school. Not only will you get the best dance tuition out there, you will believe in yourself more and do things you never believed you could do
My daughter has been dancing with Adagio School of Dance for 7 years and loves it!! She is 12 years old and spends most days at the dance school, doing ballet, tap, modern, contemporary and hip hop.
The new dance facilities are fantastic, with several studios and also a homework room (!),and the school offers many genres of dance for both children and adults.
The teachers have an exemplary background in dance and are enthusiastic, encouraging and supportive of their pupils.
There is a real sense of family spirit, and the children of all ages get on well together.
There is a bi-annual show in which the children are encouraged to perform and take part. This is always a spectacular and "not-to-be-missed" event and I am certainly looking forward to the next one in May this year!
I think this has to be the best dance School in East Anglia. My daughter has moved dance Schools due to house moves, but we travel a 230 mile round trip every Saturday as this School offers her so much more than our local dance Schools. Beautiful studios, first class teachers with high standards but an encouraging teaching manner that makes her want to be the best and learn more. The older pupils really look after the younger pupils and the front of house team are so kind and helpful. Thank you Adagio for fulfilling a little girl's dreams and teaching her to dance so well.
This is by far one of the best schools around the studios themselves are top quality. The standard of dance here is equivalent to any training in a top London school. The staff are warm and caring and the teachers train dancers to be their best. My daughter is a better dancer because of this school and is now leaving to further her training.
My daughter is 8 and has been attending Adagio for the last 4 years. Mrs Patching is an exceptional teacher as are all her wonderful staff and the level of teaching is to a very high standard. Not only has my daughter excelled in her dancing, her confidence has grown too giving her the erdge to succeed.
Adagio is an outstanding dance school giving all the children that attend a chance to make new friends and develop skills that they will take with them through life.

Adagio School of Dance delivers more than exceptional teaching, they nurture, encourage and develop life skills and make a positive and fundamental contribution to a hopeful future for my little girl. Mrs Patching and the incredible teaching and support team at Adagio School of Dance are wonderful. It is not just the place my daughter has been taught immaculate dance concepts through all disciplines but they are part of our family life. Adagio has given my daughter belief in herself, confidence to share this belief and skill with an audience and in her daily life as well as a fantastic circle of very close friends with whom she has masses of fun. There is no doubt that teaching is beyond our expectations and I couldn't be more proud that my daughter has achieved passes with distinction in all exams she has taken thus far.
But just as importantly, it is giving her the skills to appreciate reward requires hard work, to cope with a test environment, and to be proud of what she can do. I am thankful that we are part of this school & so is my daughter.
This is the second dance school my daughter has attended and this is by far the best, with the teachers and teaching being of extreme high standards. All the staff are friendly and welcoming but always remain professional. My daughter really looks forward to going to all her classes which not only teach her dance but also life skills. During her time here her confidence has grown and is continuing to do so. She is looking forward to many more years at Adagio and would definitely recommend the school.
It's a fair distance for us to travel to take my two girls to this school. However, I would not take my girls anywhere else. I can not praise the school and the staff enough for the effort and dedication they have towards their students.
I spent 13 years dancing here at Adagio and I am very thankful for the opportunities it has given me. In all my dance exams I have always received a distinction to this day and because of the quality of training I am now at a professional performing arts school on a Dance and Drama Award that would not have been possible if it wasn't for this school. One of the best dance schools in Essex. Dance training is of the highest standard and their own studios with sprung floors and the caring and experienced teachers make this an amazing place to learn.
A truly amazing school! Fantastic faculty in all genres of dance. My daughter was with Adagio for a few years before going full time vocational. She wouldn’t have got there without the outstanding teaching and nurturing she received at Adagio. She was given amazing opportunities and achieved great exam success too.

I have followed this wonderful school for a long time, and as a dance teacher myself, I can honestly say this school is well above average. It is the only school that I always recommend my best pupils go on to progress further, as I cannot see any point in keeping them with my school, when i do not have the facilities to offer them. At least I am safe in the knowledge that they will stand a greater chance of success than anywhere else.

My daughter has been coming to the BEST DANCE SCHOOL in Essex for nearly 3 years now. She started with Ballet and Musical Theatre. She now does - all through her own choice and not my nagging her - Ballet, Tap, Hip-Hop, Modern, Gymnastics and Musical Theatre. These classes have not only been excellent in terms of learning new skills, but have also been tremendous for her attention and concentration. The standard of teaching at Adagio School Of Dance is incredibly high. We have been thrilled that our 6 year old daughter has achieved Distinction in Pre-primary Ballet not least because last year she was diagnosed with leukaemia. Indeed it has to be said that Mrs Patching the teachers and the parents were incredibly supportive and caring during a particularly difficult year. In fact, the school at the show at Basildon Towngate last year raised in excess of £1200 for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
All I can say is THANK YOU Mrs Patching and the amazing teachers for your passion and continued dedication for our children!
